SEATTLE, Wash.— 3TIER, the global leader in renewable energy information services, today announced the expansion of its leadership team with the addition of two technology veterans: Tom Hull as Chief Operating Officer and Ed Mahlum as Senior Vice President, Product Development.

"We are excited to expand our management team, and these changes are integral in the company's evolution and growth as the global leader of renewable energy information services," said Kenneth Westrick, CEO and founder of 3TIER. "Their proven successes in technology and information services will prove invaluable as 3TIER continues to accelerate the delivery of innovative products that serve a global renewable energy market."

Hull has more than 20 years of management experience in the technology industry. Most recently, Hull served as senior vice president of worldwide sales at F5 Networks, where he led all aspects of the company’s global sales organization and sixteen quarters of sequential growth. He also previously served as president and CEO of Seattle-based PictureIQ, and as senior vice president of worldwide sales for Visio Corp. He was instrumental in Visio's growth from startup to a successful public company, and played a key role in its $1.5 billion merger with Microsoft in 2000.

Mahlum served as a general manager for Seattle-based RealNetworks, where he led development and operations of a portion of the company’s music, video and e-commerce businesses. Mahlum brings extensive experience with cutting-edge technologies from a management and execution perspective. He spent more than 16 years managing the development and operations of high-tech businesses, including serving as the chief operating officer for a small technology start-up, and as a technology consultant for Fortune 100 companies.
