Management Team

Craig Husa, CEO

Mr. Husa has over 20 years of leadership experience in high-growth, technology companies. He has the skills and strategic vision to lead 3TIER as the company continues to accelerate and expand its business globally as well as in new markets. Mr. Husa previously served as the CEO of multiple innovative, break-through companies including NeuralIQ, General Software (acquired by Phoenix Technologies Ltd.), and Healia (acquired by Meredith Corporation, NYSE: MDP). Previously, he founded CourtLink Corporation (acquired by LexisNexis) and helped grow it into the leading provider of electronic court case information to legal, corporate, and government markets. Mr. Husa sits on the board of the Washington Clean Technology Alliance, or WCTA. He earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BS, with distinction, in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. As an officer in the Navy, he also received advanced training and qualifications in nuclear engineering and served on submarines.

Dr. Pascal Storck, COO

Dr. Storck has been with 3TIER since its inception and led many of its business and functional groups throughout his tenure. Dr. Storck is an internationally recognized expert on the topics of renewable energy assessment and forecasting. His background in systems analysis, optimization, and hydrologic sciences played an integral role in the development and implementation of 3TIER's unique range of wind and solar products. Dr. Storck holds a Bachelor degree with distinction in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University, a Masters degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Washington, where he was also named a NASA Earth Systems Fellow.

Ed Mahlum, VP of Product Development

Mr. Mahlum leads the process from product conception through research and final engineering. Prior to joining 3TIER, he spent more than 16 years managing the development and operations of cutting-edge, high-tech businesses. Mr. Mahlum served as a General Manager for RealNetworks where his responsibilities included the development, launch, and on-going operations of the web-based portion of their Rhapsody Music service, RealGuide Video service, and their third party video subscription services. His experience also includes serving as the COO for a small technology start-up, and as a technology consultant with Andersen Consulting, where he provided services to Fortune 100 companies. He received his Bachelor degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Washington.

Frank Colich, VP of Finance and Administration

Mr. Colich is responsible for 3TIER's global finance and operations including: corporate financial management, financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, and sales planning and analysis. In addition, Mr. Colich leads the legal, human resources, and general business operations for 3TIER. Prior to joining 3TIER in 2007, Mr. Colich spent eight years working in the environmental services industry performing various roles, including operations management, financial management, business development, and project management. Mr. Colich holds a MBA from Seattle University and a BS in Biology from SUNY New Paltz.

Michael Grundmeyer, Managing Director of Risk Products

Mr. Grundmeyer leads 3TIER's risk management product strategy and our market engagement efforts, after previously directing 3TIER business development in North America and Europe. Mr. Grundmeyer has over 15 years of energy and finance experience from business development and energy mergers and acquisitions, to derivative structuring, commodity trading, and risk management. Before 3TIER, he was VP of Business Development at Merrill Lynch Global Markets and Investment Banking where he marketed financial and asset risk management products for investor-owned and municipal energy companies. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Mr. Grundmeyer served as a full-time in-house financial strategy consultant for joint venture partners to Koch Energy Trading (purchased by Merrill Lynch in 2004) where he managed energy asset hedge portfolios for Koch Industries and derivative-sales customers. Mr. Grundmeyer graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University and attended the Wissenschaftliche Hochschule fuer Unternehmensfuehrung in Germany and holds a MBA in Finance and a BA in German.
