Kenneth Westrick
Kenneth Westrick is 3TIER's founder as well as a chairman. Prior to his current role, Mr. Westrick served as 3TIER's CEO for 10 years, from 2001 through 2010. Propelled by his vision and under his leadership 3TIER grew from a small, boutique consultancy into a global leader in renewable energy information services. Before founding 3TIER, Mr. Westrick earned both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Atmospheric Science from the University of Washington, with a focus on numerical weather prediction (NWP), remote sensing, and other weather and environmental forecasting technologies. Mr. Westrick is a regular spokesperson on a wide-range of renewable energy topics. His perspectives and thoughts have been featured at numerous industry events as well as in The Wall Street Journal, CNN, The Financial Times, Forbes, Time, The Washington Post, Seattle Times, and a wide-range of renewable energy trade media. Mr. Westrick is also a board member for the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE).
John Breckenridge
Mr. Breckenridge is the leader of the Good Energies North American Development Equity and Infrastructure team. Since joining Good Energies in 2007, he has made and managed investments in early stage companies, mid-sized industrial corporations, and project development businesses across the Alternative Energy sector. Mr. Breckenridge's Good Energies portfolio responsibilities include 3TIER, Sage Electrochromics, Ice Energy, Sequoia Energy, Solar Reserve, Atlantic Wind Connection, and Champlin Energy, among others. Prior to joining Good Energies, he served as Operating Partner and Managing Director in both Tokyo and New York for CCMP Capital Advisors (formerly known as J.P. Morgan Partners) and was COO of Densei Lambda KK, a publicly traded Japanese corporation with 8 factories located around the world and over 4,000 employees. Mr. Breckenridge holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont followed by graduate business study at Rutgers University.
Ian Blakely
As a director in Good Energies' New York office, Mr. Blakely focuses primarily on investments in the wind space. During his time at Good Energies, he has also made investments in solar and load management companies and currently is on the boards of 3TIER, Agile Energy, Champlin, Eolectric, GEIlectric, and Sequoia Energy. Prior to joining Good Energies, Mr. Blakely was the co-founder and CFO of BrightPath, a start-up focused on serving the needs of parents of children with learning disabilities. Previously, Mr. Blakely was an associate at J.P. Morgan Partners and an analyst at Morgan Stanley. During his time at Morgan Stanley, he worked on transactions such as the US $18.9 billion sale of Nabisco to Philip Morris and the IPO of Bunge. Mr. Blakely received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University earning a BS degree in Economics and BA degree in Environmental Science and Policy.
Craig Husa
Mr. Husa, 3TIER's CEO, has over twenty years of leadership experience in high-growth, technology companies. He has the skills and strategic vision to lead 3TIER as the company continues to accelerate and expand its business globally as well as in new markets. Mr. Husa previously served as the CEO of multiple innovative, break-through companies including NeuralIQ, General Software (acquired by Phoenix Technologies Ltd.), and Healia (acquired by Meredith Corporation, NYSE: MDP). Previously, he founded CourtLink Corporation (acquired by LexisNexis) and helped grow it into the leading provider of electronic court case information to legal, corporate, and government markets. Mr. Husa earned a MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BS, with distinction, in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. As an officer in the Navy, he also received advanced training and qualifications in Nuclear Engineering and served on submarines.
Dr. Pascal Storck
Dr. Storck is a board member in addition to serving as head of 3TIER product operations. He has been with the company since its inception and has led many of its business and functional groups throughout his tenure. Dr. Storck is an internationally recognized expert on the topics of renewable energy assessment and forecasting. His background in systems analysis, optimization, and hydrologic sciences has played an integral role in the development and implementation of 3TIER's unique range of wind, hydro, and solar products. Dr. Storck holds a Bachelor degree with distinction in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University, a Masters degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Washington, where he was also named a NASA Earth Systems Fellow.
